Honolulu to Valparaiso, Jeff and Mari , Wedding Casablanca, Chile

My first dialog started several months ago over our trusted online chat mediums where we established that this Hawaii based couple were without doubt coming to Chile to get married and without doubt were going to need someone local here to assist them a little. Gladly I stepped in and after sorting out the Photo needs and details we moved onto the where and when and HOW THE HELL DO WE PULL THIS OFF ha ha ha. Ok so I am no wedding planner, thats for sure, but I was eager to help these guys as they had no spanish at all. First was where?, I suggested the trusted Vina Matetic in Casablanca, always a winner, even in winter without the gardens in full bloom. Next up was the when?, Yup the date is available but was the district registrar free that day?, so several calls to the office in Cartagena to seal that up..ok date and venue locked down next was details...Flowers, without a doubt  Bethany Guala www.altelierdesign.cl  best in the biz !... Make-up another star with Goran Kurte  goran.kurte@gmail.com  Wedding cake, this was a specialized cake due to the nature of the wedding being a two person event, well except for Mauricio my 2nd Photographer getting to be a bridesmaid (ha ha ha) so for the cake it was straight to www.CortaLaTorta.com where Soledad took it from my hands right away and set them up with this mini wedding cake 3 tier masterpiece, which tasted awesome MMMmmm...

Jeff and Mari arrived the day before the wedding which gave us just enough time to skoot together to the event centre so I could walk them round it with the game plan. Next,  to the registry office to do all the papers ready for next day.  Next was time for a lunch as after so much communication we just had to have lunch and kick back a little. Traditional seafood soup in Cartagena on the ocean front...very nice !

Luckily these guys came back to Valpo the next day for another soup with us so we had the chance to catch a few memories before the head off to the airport after lunch..

A great time had by all and a real pleasure to meet shoot and lunch with you guys...see you next time around..
